Sam Guido

Bass Guitarist, Sound Rigger, Transport

Sam has played in local Buffalo Bands in the early 60s. His thumping steady bass lines can be heard echoing through out the neighborhood. At times you'll see Sammy close his eyes, in the zone in some far off mystical world where the trees are made of Basswood. Not really but I wonder what goes on in his brain when he does that :)

Kate Wedge

Lead Vocals/Keys/BackUp Vocals

Our leading lady has always had a love for singing! From the time she was young she was sharing her voice in the church and school choir, and singing her heart out in the shower, car, and on countless number of karaoke stages. A karaoke stage is actually where it all began for her because that is where she was asked to join a band that became Bad Kitty! Ever since that moment there has been no turning back. Kate loves to sing, it is her passion to perform, and entertain.

Justin Jakubowicz

Drums, Lights, Audio Engineer

Justin was part of the original band and rejoined to help us solidify the groove with his fantastic drum fills and amazing timing. Justin continues to excel at keeping the band clock tempo and has brought such finesse with his drumming style. Justin has also played in many local bands and continues to be a sort after drummer for fill ins. As long as you don't steal him we are ok with this...other wise Bad Kitty will scratch you...

Tony Kahi

Lead Guitarist / Lead Backup Vocals.

Tony has played in many Buffalo & Australian and New Zealand Bands. Loose Change, Split Horizon, 4 Days Later, Wide Right voted Best New Band. He comes from a family of musicians whose father was a m=country musician for the popular band the Farell Brothers. All Tonys Brothers played music together. Has has played in all the main stages in Buffalo including Sheas Theater, Kleinhans Music Hall,The Colored Musicians Club and many other notable clubs in Buffalo.Pick his brain on where he'd like to play next

The difference between a good band and a great band is the key they sing in. Many of us don't realize the power of the Bands. Once we are banded, we are gifted with a style and a wide range of music talent is honed... its only when we realize we have the ear for music it then attunes itself to the melodies around us. It is then we become fixated on tuning the voice to the melody.

BIOGRAPHY

The Bad Kitty band was founded in 2018 by a group of passionate musicians that wanted to create a show that appealed to all. We began searching for songs that were loved by all but were slightly forgotten and at the same time not overplayed. Songs that will spark a memory and put a smile on your face while your dancing and singing along. We wanted to create a repertoire of music that is iconic, will take you back in time, and relatable to everyone in the crowd. In doing that we found ourselves playing a variety of genres including country, rock, blues, and pop. We pour our hearts into each and every song we perform and try to give it a little Bad Kitty twist! We take pride in putting out quality music that is fun, entertaining, and sounds great. We have done a great deal of growing and fine tuning in the last four years and are excited to continue sharing our passion with you. We often get asked how did we come up with the name Bad Kitty… stay tuned for an upcoming Katie’s blog to give the backstory on our name. We are fortunate to have added Tony Kahi in 2021 that brings some added Bad Kitty mojo..
